An ovarian cyst is a sac-like structure which is filled by the fluid that forms on or within the ovary. Most of the time these cysts are harmless and typically occur during the menstrual cycle. Most of the ovarian cyst revolves on its own without any treatment however in some of the cases ovarian cyst can cause severe symptoms and complications especially when they become large, twist, or rupture.
