The heartbeat or the pulse rate can be checked at the wrist. You have to place the index and middle fingers of one hand on the opposite wrist, just below the base of the thumb and slightly press it. When you feel your pulse, count the number of beats in 15 seconds. Multiply this number by four to calculate your beats per minute.
