What is ASD?

ASD stands for an atrial septal defect and is a congenital abnormality near the upper chamber of the heart, also called a "hole in the heart.". Later, after one week, your child/patient can do sitting activities such as reading books and watching TV. If your child/patient is having trouble breathing or feeling pain and fever, call the doctor or go to the emergency department for children immediately.
