I went to see Dr. Govind Nandakumar about what I believed to be piles or hemorrhoids. After inspecting, he determined that it has an anal fissure. informed me of both. He forwarded some pretty useful articles. He did not insist that I have surgery, but I did have laser haemorrhoidectomy and laser lateral sphincterotomy when the ointments did not fully heal.
