With the assistance of Dr. Alakananda Debnath, my father-in-law, 68 years old, underwent microsurgery to rebuild the middle ear/tympanic membrane. His diabetes and hypertension were a risk. But the procedure went well. He can hear again.

For the previous 15 years, my mum had a slip disc problem. Despite seeing many different doctors, nothing seemed to be working. Next, we went to see Dr. Seshadri Sen. He correctly identified the problem and described the circumstances surrounding it as well as our choices. We agreed to the procedure because my mother said she felt much more sure about it.

Other doctors treated my wife, but she remained unresponsive to care for more than a week. She was in excruciating pain despite taking more than 5–6 painkillers daily. The ear was severely inflamed. Dr. Sayan Hazra then advised surgery after listening to us with great patience and sympathy. She underwent a successful operation and is doing well and not in discomfort.

I went to see Dr. Saibal Mishra for a thyroid lump or swelling, and when he operated on it, he revealed it was thyroid cancer. I was horrified, but he reassured me, and I am currently receiving his follow-up care and doing well.
