For the past 15 years, the 110-bed SDM Narayana Heart Centre in Dharwad has been offering top-notch cardiac care services at reasonable costs. The hospital has performed more than 31,000 invasive cardiology procedures (including pacemaker installation and valve balloon procedures) and treated over 2.5 lakh patients in the outpatient department. More than 6500 open heart procedures, including bypass, vascular, valve, and pediatric cardiac surgeries, as well as more than 1500 pediatric device closures have been completed successfully.

Modern treatment for all congenital heart diseases, including complex cyanotic heart diseases and adult congenital heart disease patients, is provided by the Paediatric Cardiac Center at Narayana Hrudayalaya Dharwad. The department is staffed by a Senior Consultant Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon and a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist. Until now, over 1500 juvenile cardiac interventions (non-surgical device closures of the heart) and over 1250 successful pediatric cardiac surgeries have been carried out.
