    Hello mam mere father ko pneumonia hua tha kuch samay pahle. Unko sans lene me problem hone lagi usse. Abhi ct scan me lungs me infection bhi bataya he. Unhe doctors ne ild if deaseas batai he.     Interstitial lung disease (ILD) may be caused by long-term exposure to hazardous materials, such as asbestos or coal dust, or it can be caused by an auto-immune disease such as rheumatoid arthritis. Once lung scarring occurs, it's generally irreversible.

    Many pneumonia cases lead to scarring of lung tissue causing, ILD.

    Treatment depends on the underlying cause but often includes steroids. The scarring of tissue cannot be reversed but the associated symptoms are treated with steroidal therapy.
