It is the Research & Referral tertiary-care Heart Hospital of the All India Heart Foundation, which plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of heart ailments and allied diseases. Dr. O.P. Yadava is the CEO and Chief Cardiac Surgeon of National Heart Institute. A portion of the revenue generated is spend in the treatment of the poor and needy who cannot afford good quality medical care. NHI also runs all-inclusive executive health check-up and regular community outreach programs such as heart camps.
