The guidelines for every treatment method will differ according to oral cancer. However, some common pre-procedure guidelines are:

Fasting: You are suggested to not eat or drink anything at least 8 hours before the surgery.

Targeted Drug therapy- Doctors give some medicines that target tissues or other abnormalities of a cancer cell. These medicines target and change the aspects that allow cancer cells to grow.
