Dr Amitava Sen Gupta has a vast experience in the field of Pediatrics and Neonatology. He bagged his MBBS degree in the year 1976 from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. In 1981, he also did a Diploma in Child Health from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He became MCIP in the year 1986. His scholarly aptitude enabled him to bag first position in Pune University Specialization Examination for DCH during the year 1981. Out of his 29 years of experience, Dr Amitava Sengupta spent nearly 10 years i.e from 1997 to 2006 in Sitaram Bhatia Institute of Science and Research, New Delhi. He was HOD and Senior Consultant in Pediatrics and Neonatology department there. Beside this, he was also associated with Sharma Nursing Home and Hospital, New Delhi as a senior consultant. He had also been medical advisor to Netherlands Inter Country Child Welfare Organization.
