Dr. Amitava Sen Gupta

With an overall experience of more than30 years in the field of Neonatology and Pediatrics, Dr. Amitava Sen Gupta is a leading medical practitioner in the field. He is working as Director for Mother and Child Division of Neonatology and Pediatrics at Paras Hospital, Gurgaon, Haryana. Dr Amitava Sen Gupta has a vast experience in the field of Pediatrics and Neonatology. He bagged his MBBS degree in the year 1976 from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. In 1981, he also did a Diploma in Child Health from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He became MCIP in the year 1986. His scholarly aptitude enabled him to bag first position in Pune University Specialization Examination for DCH during the year 1981. Out of his 29 years of experience, Dr Amitava Sengupta spent nearly 10 years i.e from 1997 to 2006 in Sitaram Bhatia Institute of Science and Research, New Delhi. He was HOD and Senior Consultant in Pediatrics and Neonatology department there. Beside this, he was also associated with Sharma Nursing Home and Hospital, New Delhi as a senior consultant. He had also been medical advisor to Netherlands Inter Country Child Welfare Organization. He is an expert in the medical care of newborn infants, Neonatal Intensive Care, Critically Sick Term Newborns, fragile, and preterm Low Birth Weight Babies. He has contributed to the research work in high-risk neonatal outcome and follow up; headache in infancy and childhood; asthma during childhood, vertigo in childhood and severe acute respiratory syndrome. Considering his contribution to the field of medicine, Dr Amitava Sengupta has been honored with Life Membership in Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Central and New Delhi, National Neonatology Forum (NNF) Central and New Delhi and Indian Medical Association (IMA) Central and New Delhi.
