Dr. Anantha Krishnan S is a Consultant - Urology in Apollo Hospitals, Greams Lane, Chennai. Dr. Ananthakrishnan Sivaraman completed his basic training in basic Urology from Madras Medical College, Chennai and later went on to do his Robotic Fellowship in Celebration, Florida under Dr. Vipul Patel – pioneer and world leader in the treatment of prostate cancers. He has also completed professional training in Laparoscopic Urology under Dr.Rimington at Eastbourne General Hospital, England, and Dr.Senthilnathan at the Whittington Hospital, London. Besides practicing Urology, Dr. Anantha Krishnan has also contributed in teaching as he has taught at the University College of London (UCLH).
Due to his commitment in his field, he has bagged many recognitions, to name a few are Rajasekaran University Gold Medal in Urology- (First place in urology Board exam), Chinnaswamy Gold Medal in Urology First Rank Urology Entrance Examination, Sri Shanmugam prize for “Ideas and Innovations” 8th European Robotic Urology Symposium 2011 and 1st prize for best poster 26th Annual Congress of the European Association of Urology.
Dr. Sivaraman has also been awarded a Special Achievement Award in Robotic Surgery by the Bengal Urological Society at Bengal Urology Society Conference( BUSCON) as part of their 50th Anniversary celebrations held in Kolkata. The award was given by Ms. Chandrima Bhattacharya, Health Minister of Bengal on November 24th, 2013.
He was awarded for the recognition for his efforts in initiating, facilitating and mentoring robotic surgeons in Kolkata over the past one year.
He has presented clinical papers at numerous International forums and has a membership of various prestigious institutes like American Urological Association, European Association of Urology, Society of Robotic Surgery Urological, Society of India Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry Urological, Society Madras Urological to name a few.
