Dr. Arun Giri

Dr. Arun Giri is Senior Consultant - Surgical Oncologist. Dr. Giri began his career in medical sciences at Banaras Hindu University where he completed his MBBS and MS in Surgery. He received specialized training and a post-doctoral super specialty degree in cancer surgery from the National Board of Examination, New Delhi. Dr. Giri has worked at various prestigious cancer hospitals across the country that include the Himalayan Institute of Medical Science, Jolly Grant, Dehradun, Apex Cancer Centre and RCH (Hon), Varanasi as Surgical Oncologist &Thoracic Oncologist, and Ratan Cancer Hospital, Kanpur as Senior Consultant and Head. His work has received numerous awards and honours and he is member of various national and international associations like the Association of Surgeons of India, Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology, and the Indian Medical Association. He has authored many publications in leading national and international journals. Dr. Giri specialises in complex oncological surgeries of the head and neck, skull base, thorax, pelvis, gastrointestinal and genitourinary tracts, along with major reconstructive surgeries that include myocutaneous and microvascular flaps, minimally invasive oncosurgery, and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery. His expertise also lies in performing diagnostic procedures like flexible laryngopharyngoscopy, DLscopy, microlaryngeal surgery, bronchoscopy, UGI scopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, stenting etc.
