Dr. Azhar Perwaiz

Dr. Azhar Perwaiz is a Associate Director at the Department of GI Surgery, GI Oncology and Bariatric Surgery, Institute of Digestive and Hepatobiliary Sciences in Medanta - The Medicity Hospital; he has over a decade of rich professional experience in his field. His area of interest lies in Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Esophagectomy and Advance Laparoscopic Surgery for GI Cancers. Dr. Azhar Perwaiz has treated several patients in India and gives every patient the best of medical care. Dr. Azhar Perwaiz has published several papers in India and abroad and is a member of prestigious medical associations. He believes in promoting health awareness and following a healthy lifestyle. His compassionate patient care and lifestyle advocacy has helped several patients to recover from various disorders. As a committed doctor, he has undergone specialized training programs and has attended many conferences held across the country. Dr. Azhar Perwaiz completed his MBBS from Aligarh Muslim University in the year 2000. He then went on to pursue MS in General Surgery from the same college - Aligarh Muslim University in 2004. He has also done DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology from National Board of Examination in 2009. He is also the esteemed member of Medical Council of India (MCI).
