Dr. Biswajit Ghosh Dastidar

Biswajit Ghosh Dastidar is a renowned Internal Medicine Specialist in Kolkata and currently practices at Woodlands Hospital, Kolkata. Dr. Ghoshdastidar completed his MD in Tropical Medicine from University of Calcutta, India. He graduated from Edinburgh, UK, with an MRCP. He has worked at prestigious tertiary care facilities for more than 20 years, both in India and overseas. He served as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited's Chief Medical Advisor (East Zone) before joining Woodlands Hospitals. In the UK, he also held employment at Rotherham General Hospital and Ipswich Hospital. He has worked in a variety of medical specialties throughout his time as a consultant at Rotherham General Hospital and Ipswich Hospital in the UK, with a focus on geriatrics, diabetes, and endocrinology. He has a strong passion for teaching, research, and publication, and he has a number of publications to his name in both domestic and foreign journals. Additionally, he participates actively in teaching and CME programmes. For many years, he served as the DNB - Family Medicine program's mentor, course organiser, and chair of the scientific committee. He is the current honorary secretary and a founding member of the Integrated Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (IDEA).
