Dr. Todi spent five years in several Gastroenterology departments in the United Kingdom, including three years in a big teaching hospital in Leeds. Prof Axon, previous president of OMGE and World Gastroenterology Congress, led the Luminal Gastroenterology section for two of the three years. Another year was spent in Leeds at a large Liver Transplant Unit led by Dr. M Davies. It is one of the largest departments in the UK, doing over 100 liver transplants every year. Another two years were spent at Hull and Bradford Royal Infirmaries.

Dr. Todi is a teacher at the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (West Bengal Branch) and works part-time as an honorary consultant with the designation of Associate Professor at the Vivekananda Institute of Medical Science in RKM Seva Pratisthan (connected with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences).
