He has also performed 66 cadaver transplants through KNOS as a single unit. He is one of the supremely experienced  Nephrologists in Kerala and has been actively engaged in charity and goodwill work through his career. He is the president of Cochin Kidney Foundation (CKF). He is known to establish maintenance dialysis programmes in peripheral hospitals through online facilities.  Dr Georgy K Nainan holds a fellowship of Indian Society of Nephrology (2005) and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, UK (2010). He is also a member of National Academy of Medical Sciences, Indian Society of Nephrology, Indian Medical Association, International Leptospirosis Society and Critical Care Society of India.
