Dr Joy Varghese is the Director of the Department of Hepatology at Gleneagles Global Hospital Chennai. He has over 26 years of experience, with 14 years of experience in his field. His areas of interests include diagnosis and treatment of liver disorders, liver transplantation, hepatitis b treatment, chronic liver disease management, hepatitis c treatment, among others. Dr Joy Varghese holds an MBBS degree from Madurai Medical College, Chennai, MD in Internal Medicine from Madurai Medical College, Chennai, DM in Medical Gastroenterology from Stanley Medical College Hospital, Chennai. He also holds Fellowship in Liver Transplantation from Madurai Medical College, Chennai and Fellowship in Visceral Transplantation Surgery from University of Hospital Essen, Germany. He has also shared his expertise with Government General Hospital, Chennai, Apollo Hospital, Stanley Medical College and Hospital and Amirta Institute of Medical Sciences.
