Dr. KN Srivastava

Dr KN Srivastava is a distinguished medical practitioner in the field of General and Minimal Access Surgery. At present he is the Senior Consultant and HOD of General and Minimal Access Surgery department at BLK Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi. He has almost 15 years of experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery and Bariatric surgery. Dr K.N Srivastava holds MBBS degree from MLN Medical College, Allahabad (UP) and completed MS from the same college in 1977. He has FICS and FMAS from International College of Surgeons and Association of Minimal Acess Surgeons respectively. He was also the first laparoscopic Surgeon of Dr. Ram Monohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. He held the post of Prof. Surgery & Head of Surgical Unit, at PGIMER.. He pursued advanced degree in Laparoscopic Surgery including Metabolic and Obesity Surgery. He became F.I.A.G.E.S from Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons, India in 2008. He took voluntary retirement from Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospita in the year 2011 and in 2012 he bagged the degree FCLS from International College of Laparoscopic surgeon. Other than having vast experience in the field of laparoscopic surgery, he has also made valuable contributions in the field of teaching and training of Laparoscopic Surgeons for last 12 years. Dr.K.N Srivastava has over 24 uyears of experience in teaching students of Post graduate (M.S Surgery) of Delhi University; G.G.S. Indraprastha University at PGIMER and Dr RM L Hospital New Delhi. He is the examiner for MBBS and MS tests conducted in medical colleges across India. We can find more than 60 articles written by him in various journals and conferences. He was the former consultant surgeon for the country’s prime ministers.
