Further, he has undertaken his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Indian College of Cardiology. Dr. KSS Bhat is a National President of Indian College of Cardiology, Past President of Associations of Physicians of India, Karnataka Chapter, and member of Indian Medical Association (Bangalore South East Branch), Cardiology Society of India, Bangalore Chapter and Karnataka Chapter. He has obtained his training certification from Otago Medical School, New Zealand and Al Fatah University Medical School Libya.

Dr. KSS Bhat started the Bangalore Heart Project in Manipal Hospital in 1989 and a week-long programme on Preventive Cardiology for Physicians and public in 1991. He was also Honoured by Association of Paediatrician of India, Karnataka Chapter.
