His area of interest is Advanced Minimal Access, General Surgery, Hernia Surgery - Complex Hernias, Breast Disease, Anorectal Diseases. Dr. Shankar was the first surgeon in the country to use the PVP patch for umbilical Hernia an epigastric hernia, a revolutionary approach to the management of these hernias.
