Dr. Nitin S Walia

Dr. Nitin S Walia is one of the most renowned Dermatologists in India and he is working as Senior Consultant for Dermatology in Max Super Speciality Hospital Saket, New Delhi. He has successfully completed two decades in this profession and is also a renowned professor of Dermatology and Venereology. Dr. Walia has medical degrees from some of the most prestigious institutes of the world like MBBS from AFMC, Doctor of Medicine (MD) from AFMC and Diploma in National Board in Dermatology and Venereology. He was awarded with Dr. B.B Gokhale Award for standing first in MD exams in the year 1993. In his 20 years of career he worked for Indian Army as a specialist in Dermatology and STD and was also a professor in Delhi Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt. He conducted workshops in Continuing Medical Education (CME) for Dermatology & HIV management. Throughout his life, Dr. Nitin S. Walia has been honored by different achievements. He became member of National Academy of Medical Sciences during the year 1994.He is Fellow of International Medical Science Academy (IMSA). He became the member for peer review for Med Journal of Armed Forces. During the year 2010-2011, he was honored with the post of Vice President of Indian Association of Study of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (IASSTD & AID) and also became member of Central Executive Committee. Besides being a renowned doctor, Dr. Walia also contributes his valuable time in writing and authoring. The first edition of his book “Textbook of STD & AIDS” was published by IASSTD in 2003 and second edition appeared in 2009. Dr. Nitin S Walia has affiliation with many recognized association such as as National Academy of Medical Sciences, Cosmetic Society of India, International society of Dermatology, IASSTD & AIDS, Indian Association of Leprosy and many more.
