Dr. Parveen Bhatia, is one of the most distinguished Minimal Access Metabolic & Bariatric Surgeons in India. Presently he is serving his duties as Senior Chairman, Institute of Minimal Access Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi and also an active council member of Delhi Medical Council. His Field of interests is Lap, Hernia Repair, Bariatric Surgery & Single Incision Lap. His accolades include prestigious fellowships like FAMS and FIMSA, scholarships for International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity at Maastricht, Netherland, “Manav Seva Puraskar of (IES) Institute of Economic Studies” by former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and “eMedinews Distinguished Speaker of the Year 2010” Award at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Besides writing for many journals, he has contributed in medical books both as an author and co-author like Laparoscopic Hernia Repair: a step by step approach, Art of Endosuturing: a step by step approach, Comprehensive Laparoscopic Surgery and Global Newsletter & e-Newsletter- monthly.
