Dr. S Nagendra Boopathy

Dr. S Nagendra Boopathy is a Cardiologist serving as a Consultant in the Department of Interventional Cardiology at Apollo Speciality Hospitals Chennai. He has more than 10 years of experience in his medical field. He specializes in peripheral arterial stenting, complex coronary artery stenting, primary angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, vascular surgery, and clinical cardiology.

Dr. S Nagendra Boopathy completed MBBS from Madras Medical College, MD in Internal Medicine from PGIMER in Chandigarh, and DM in Interventional Cardiology from AIIMS, New Delhi. Further, he has undertaken training in Interventional Cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and fellowship of American College of Cardiology (FACC) by ACC, USA.

Dr. S Nagendra Boopathy has won several awards including the ‘Best Fellow Award’ by National Interventional Council held at Kochi in April 2012 and selected for National Interventional Imaging Fellowship Award in 2012. He was also awarded Jagdish Lal Kapila Gold Medal for the Best Ongoing Cardiology Fellow by the President of India in 2011, the ‘Traveller Fellowship Award’ for Young at the 17th Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiology held in Japan in 2009.

Dr. S Nagendra Boopathy is an active member of Cardiological Society of India and Association of Physicians of India.
