After completing MBBS, MS (Gen Surgery), MCh (Cardio-Thoracic Surgery), Dr. Sathyaki gained vast experience in complex valve repairs and is well known for his skills in complicated cardiac operations. He is mainly recognized for performing complicated heart valve replacements/repairs via a keyhole also termed Totally Endoscopic Heart Surgery. 

Before his association with Apollo Hospitals, he practiced at premium hospitals like the Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH),  worked as a teaching affiliate of the Harvard Medical School, Boston and Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology.
