Dr. Saumitra Rawat

Having over 17 years of experience, Dr. Saumitra Rawat is currently the Chairman and Head of the Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplant Department of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. After completing his MBBS and MS from the well reputed Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India, he went on to do Advanced Laproscopic and GI training from England. He also served as an Undergraduate and Postgraduate trainer at The University of Manchester and at Liverpool respectively. Dr. Rawat holds fellowships at Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, Edinburgh and England. He is also surgical tutor and member, court of examiner at Royal College of Surgeons of England. His 17 years of experience include consultant surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Regency Hospital, and East Cheshire NHS Trust in the UK before being associated with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
