Dr Shyam Bihari Bansal is the Director in the Department of Kidney & Urology Institute at Medanta The Medicity, Gurgaon. He has over 15 years of rich experience in Nephrology and his areas of expertise include critical care nephrology, kidney transplants and management of various kidney and liver diseases. Dr Shyam Bihari Bansal’s areas of interest also include diagnosis and treatment of older donor kidney transplant, ABO compatibility kidney transplant, chronic renal failure and acute renal failure. He has expertise in treating both adults and children. He has previously shared his expertise at Medical College Gwalior and Fortis Hospital. Dr Bansal has been a part of the first kidney transplant in an HIV patient and has extensively worked towards the treatment of Kidney transplant patients suffering from Hepatitis. Dr Bansal holds an MBBS degree, MD in General Medicine, DM in Nephrology, and F.R.C.P from Royal College of Physicians, London.
