Dr. Shyam Krishnan Ashok

Dr. Shyam Krishnan Ashok is a Consultant - Cardiac Surgery in Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore. After completing his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, he went on to pursue his MS in General Surgery from Calicut Medical College Hospital, Calicut. Subsequently, Dr. Shyam Krishnan obtained Mch in CVTS (CardioVascular and Thoracic Surgery) from Seth GS Medical College also known as King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital, Mumbai in 2008. He then started practicing at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore in 2008.

He has also worked as a Fellow in Adult Cardiothoracic department in Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia. Till date, to his credit, he has about 600 open heart surgeries, consisting of Coronary Artery bypass surgeries and Valve Replacements. Over the years, Dr. Shyam Krishnan gained interest in Coronary Artery Bypass, especially Total Arterial Revascularization. He joined Aster CMI Hospital in Feb 2016 as Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon.
