Dr. Sneh Bhargava

Awarded the "Padamshri" by the President of India for exceptional contribution to Medical Education and Medical Service in the year 1991, Dr. Sneh Bhargava is a Senior Consultant & Head of the Department of Imaging Services at the Dharamshila Hospital & Research Centre in New Delhi. The former director of AIIMS, Dr. Bhargava pursued her MBBS degree from the Delhi University, DMRD, RCP (London) from RCS (England) UK, and MD from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. A physician with a good clinical acumen, she was bestowed with several prestigious fellowships, including the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologist (FRCR) in London, Fellowship of the Indian College of Radiology & Imaging (FICRI), Fellowship of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS), and the Fellowship of the National Academy of Science (FNASc). With a Doctrate of DSc, Honoris Causa, from the Jabalpur University, she was the Radiologist to the President of India from 1978 to 1990. An Emeritus Professor of AIIMS, she has contributed to 138 scientific papers in national & international journals, and 7 chapters in books.
