He has completed his medical schooling from University College of Medical Science and GTB Hospital, Delhi. Later on, the team pioneered the Technique of Binaural Cochlear Implantation in India. The first Cochlear Surgery at Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur was also performed under his supervision. Additionally, he also specializes in BAHA implant surgery for deafness, routine Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgeries. In recent times, he has been awarded ‘Bharat Excellence Award’ for his contribution towards deafness across India. As a seasoned doctor, Dr. Mrig mentored many Cochlear Implant Surgeries as well as authored several national and international academic journals.
