Dr. Surya Potharaju is the Head of Department for PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine. Prior to this position, he had also worked as Head of Department at Apollo Gleneagles PET-CT Center in Hyderabad and Consultant for Nuclear Medicine at Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon. He is a specialized Physician in Nuclear Medicine with MBBS from Guntur Medical College, Guntur and DABNM from American Board of Nuclear Medicine. He is also affiliated as PET Nuclear Medicine Fellow at University of Tennessee at Knoxville TN, USA; Nuclear Medicine Resident at University of Wisconsin and Clinic, Madison, USA and Transitional-year Resident at Case Western Reserve University at Mt. Sinai Medical Centre, Cleveland, USA. He is involved in several research projects related to Positron Emission Tomography (PET) such as validation of PET-CT scanner and Fusion Technology. Few of his prominent achievements are Young Investigator Abstract and Scholarship awarded by Academy of Molecular Imaging; Travel Scholarship to Barcelona awarded by Department of Radiology, University of Tennessee; Leon Ginzburg Award presented to the most outstanding resident in the Department of Surgery, Beth Israel Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, NY; Resident achievement award, presented by the Society Of Lapro-endoscopic surgeons and Best Teacher Award by Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, University of Miami School of Medicine. He has authored many scientific publications in national and international journals as well as done presentations at many conferences to his credit.
