Dr. U Ilayaraja

With over 11 years of experience, Dr. U Ilayaraja is an interventional cardiology specialist. He is currently offering his services at Billroth Hospital at Shenoy Nagar in Chennai as a Senior Consultant. Dr. U Ilayaraja is trained in primary PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention). He has handled many cardiac-related emergencies during his medical journey.

His special interest areas include treating heart failure, performing Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty (BMV) and Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) device closure. Dr. U Ilayaraja is also an expert in performing electrophysiological cardiac procedures, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy involving permanent pacemakers or ICDs (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators).

He did his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine. Then he went on to pursue DM in Cardiology from well-known institutes. Dr. U Ilayaraja joined Care Hospital for fellowship in Electrophysiology for about three months. He is an expert in his field and has treated many critical cases very professionally.
