Established in 1989, B M Birla Heart Research Centre is a super speciality hospital located in Kolkota. It is the first hospital in India to be accredited by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), handed over by His Excellency, The President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. It is also the first hospital in India to be awarded ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OSHAS 18001:2007 for maintaining high standards in healthcare, environmental protection and occupational safety respectively.
