Circumcision Surgery is a procedure to surgically remove the skin which covers the tip of the penis. It is a process to remove the foreskin i.e. the tissue covering the head (glans) of the penis. It is believed to be an ancient practice that has its origin in religious rituals. This surgery is common for newborns but is a more complex procedure. In today’s world, a man gets it done for personal hygiene or as a preventive health care measure. Circumcision cost in Hyderabad is economical and is affordable for everyone.

The cost of Circumcision in starts from Rs. 15,800 which depends on multiple factors. The average cost of Circumcision in Hyderabad may range from Rs. 15,800 to Rs. 31,600.
There are no such indications of undergoing a circumcision surgery in case of newborn male babies because in most of the cases it is done as a religious practice or as per a family's beliefs or superstitions just after a few days of birth. For example, in Judaism and Islamic religious laws, the newborn boys have to be circumcised. But in the case of male adults, circumcision is needed to treat several conditions, such as-
Balanitis- Swelling of the foreskin
Balanoposthitis- Inflammation of the tip and foreskin of the penis
Paraphimosis- Inability to bring back a retracted foreskin to its original position
Phimosis- Inability to retract the foreskin
Whether it’s a newborn male baby or an adult male, if the parents or the adult himself chooses to get circumcision done on his child or on himself, then first of all he has to sign a consent form which states that the surgery has been performed with the due permission and awareness of the parents or the patient himself, as the case may be, after knowing all the pros and cons related to the surgery. Before the surgery, the baby or the adult would be given anesthesia in the form of a cream for babies and injection for adults to make the penis numb. Oral intake of both food and water before the surgery is restricted to avoid the risk of regurgitation and aspiration, but this condition or guideline is not applicable to minor outpatient surgeries that are performed under local anesthesia. This condition is also not necessary to be followed in the case of early infant male circumcision.
Circumcision is performed in the hospital nursery in newborn, generally within 10 days after their birth. Here, the newborn baby boy is made to lie on his back with his arms and legs restrained. After cleaning the penis and its surrounding area, an anesthetic is injected into the base of the penis or is applied as a cream to the penis. Then, a special clamp or plastic ring is attached to the penis and the foreskin will be removed.
After the removal of the foreskin, the penis will be covered with an ointment, such as a topical antibiotic or petroleum jelly and will be wrapped loosely with gauze. This whole procedure lasts for about 10 minutes.
The surgical procedure is similar in the case of older boys and adults with the only difference being that general anesthesia is given to a male adult and recovery might take longer time. Circumcision surgery in the case of adult men has a greater risk of complications when done at a later stage of life.
For the newborn, when the anesthesia wears off and the baby becomes fussy, the parents/nurse should hold him gently with utmost care to avoid putting pressure on the penis. For newborn babies, the bandage must be changed with each diaper change and a dab of petroleum jelly must be applied on the tip of the penis so that the bandage does not stick to the diaper. The parents are advised to change the baby’s diaper often and make sure that the diaper is loosely fastened. If at the time of surgery a plastic ring is attached instead of a bandage then it will drop off on its own within a week’s time. Once the penis gets completely healed, wash it with soap and water during normal bathing.
The most common complications or risks associated with circumcision are bleeding and infection. Some say that the side effects of anesthesia are possible as well. In rare cases, circumcision might lead to some foreskin problems, for example-
The surgeon might cut the foreskin either too short or too long
The foreskin may fail to heal properly
The remaining part of the foreskin might reattach to the end of the penis, which would further require a minor surgical repair
Other risks involved in circumcision surgery are as follows-
Pain
Irritation of the glans
Increased risk of mastitis, which means inflammation of the opening portion of the penis.
Injury risk to the penis
Circumcision is not recommendable if the man has certain blood-clotting disorders. It is also not allowed to be performed on premature babies or babies born with abnormalities of the penis who are kept under medical care at the hospital after their birth.

A: There is not much proof for this. Although circumcision as a child, rather than as an adult, may lower your risk of developing penile cancer, the significant risk factors are poor personal hygiene and smoking.
A: The first 72 hours after surgery, you should keep to yourself. The only activity doctors recommend is a brief walk every two hours to preserve healthy circulation.
A: Under local, regional, or general anesthesia, both standard and laser circumcisions are carried out. A hospital stays the night before the circumcision is not necessary.
A: The healing process for neonates who have had their circumcisions might take anywhere from 7 to 10 days. On the other hand, people who get their hair cut must refrain from any vigorous exercise for the first four weeks after the procedure.
A: For four weeks or until your doctor gives the all-clear, refrain from any intense activity like bicycling, jogging, lifting weights, or aerobic exercise.
A: Vaseline can prevent the tip of your penis from adhering to your underpants. For two to three days following your procedure, wear light, loose-fitting clothing to reduce irritation to your penis as it recovers.
A: You could be instructed to abstain from sexual activity for six weeks following the procedure.
