Mom-to-be

Expecting mothers may not see a visible bump as of yet. But inside their belly, a hive of changes are happening. To host the baby, your body will undergo tremendous changes. 5 weeks pregnant belly prepares the body to suit these changes. Your uterus will start to grow in size. The levels of your pregnancy hormones will take a steep rise. Majorly, hormones like estrogen, progesterone and hCG will upsurge in large quantities. Estrogen keeps the other two hormones where they are supposed to be. Progesterone is responsible for maintaining the functions of the placenta and restoring breast tissue growth. It also resists the uterine muscles from contracting. hCG, on the other hand, regulates the amount of progesterone and supports the baby while the placenta develops. These chemical signals are being mass-produced by your body by the time you are 5 weeks pregnant. Also read about: Bodily Changes Pregnant Women Had To Deal With
