1. Chest Pain: Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

It is one of the most common GI troubles and happens when stomach acid comes backs up into your esophagus, that may lead to a burning pain in middle of your chest. This is called Acid Reflux and often occurs after meals or at night. While once in a while event may be common, if these symptoms happen routinely and affect your daily working, it may warrant medical attention. Prolonged acid reflux conditions may lead to bad breath, tooth erosion, nausea, and may have trouble swallowing or breathing.

2. Gallstones

Gallstones are stony hard deposits that form in your gallbladder. It is a small pear-shaped gland that secretes bile that helps in fat absorption. Gallstones are formed when there is too much cholesterol in the blood. These may lead to sharp pain in in the upper right abdomen as a result of ducts being blocked by gallstones.

3. Crohn's Disease

Crohn's disease is an autoimmune disease that affects your digestive system. It mainly affects the end of the small intestine called the ileum but can affect other parts of the digestive system as well. The most common Crohn's symptoms include diarrhoea, fatigue, fever, mouth sores and abdominal pain and cramping.

4. Ulcerative Colitis

Ulcerative colitis is similar to Crohn's disease just differing in the area which gets affected. In ulcerative colitis, it is the colon which is affected and other parts of large intestine. Symptoms may include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, rectal bleeding, weight loss, and fever. It is also an auto-immune disease and may lead to your own immune system working against the body cells. You may experience frequent and urgent bowel movements, pain with diarrhoea, blood in your stool, or abdominal cramps.

5. Haemorrhoids or Piles

Piles are diagnosed when there is presence of blood in stools and may lead to extreme pain while passing stools. Hemorrhoids are indicated by inflammation of the blood vessels at the end of your digestive tract, which can be really troublesome, painful and itchy.
