hypothyroidism since birth means child born with improper thyroid gland or no thyroid gland at all. children born with it are bound to face growth issues like

shorter than average height
shorter than average limbs
permanent teeth that develop later
puberty that starts later
slowed mental development
heart rate that is slower than average
hair may be brittle
facial features may be puffy

for treatment, please visit your pediatrician as they would test your child’s TSH level and then decide the dose of the medicine.
