    Hello doctor actually my babygirl is face hyperthyroidism to birth time now she is 3 years old but her growth is soo weak and weight only 9 k.g p!s help us doctor.....

    hypothyroidism since birth means child born with improper thyroid gland or no thyroid gland at all. children born with it are bound to face growth issues like

    • shorter than average height
    • shorter than average limbs
    • permanent teeth that develop later
    • puberty that starts later
    • slowed mental development
    • heart rate that is slower than average
    • hair may be brittle
    • facial features may be puffy

    for treatment, please visit your pediatrician as they would test your child’s TSH level and then decide the dose of the medicine.
