He was employed at the top orthopedic facility in the nation, the Facility for Special Surgery, in New York, USA. Through a fellowship program, he became an expert in spine surgery and scoliosis during his stay there.

In India, he was the first to perform 3D Navigation guided (O-Arm) spine and scoliosis surgery. Dr. Pawar has been an enthusiastic trekker and marathoner for the past five years, having successfully ascended various peaks in India. He participates actively in the Mumbai Rotary Club.
