Dr. George P Abraham

Dr George P Abraham is the Consultant of Urology and Renal Transplant at VPS Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi, Kerala. He has been in the practice for about 25 years and has individually performed over 2500 renal transplantation surgeries. He also has more than 32 years of efficient experience in endourological procedures. He is a reputed urologist all over India, with a couple of prestigious awards, including Bharat Vikas Ratna Award, Lifetime Health Achievement Award Bharat Chikitsak Ratan Award under his name.  His qualifications include an MBBS, MS General Surgery, MCh Urology and BSc. He has efficiently completed more than 8500 cases of PCNL, 12000 cases of URS and more than 12000 cases of TURPs. He has also accomplished the feat of performing more than 9000 laparoscopic urological surgeries. He has also been recognized as the third surgeon in the world to perform a live laparoscopic renal transplant.  Dr George P Abraham has contributed actively to academics throughout his career. He has been a national board affiliated postgraduate teacher for three years. He also conducted the first 3D Laparoscopic urology workshop in India. Furthermore, he runs a Laparoscopic training and fellowship programme and has been invited as the faculty in several workshops and training programmes.
