About Dr. Kapil Kumar

Dr. Kapil Kumar is the Supervisor & HOD, Surgical Oncology at the Fortis Medical Facility, Shalimar Bagh. He has experience of three decades. He is trained in medical oncology at Tata memorial medical facility, Bombay. Besides, the doctor held an elderly consultant post at Batra Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi cancer cells institute, and BLK health center. In addition, developed robotic surgical treatment in Rajiv Gandhi cancer cells institute. The doctor is a teacher of DNB medical oncology considering that 2005. Thus, Dr. Kapil Kumar is one of the top oncologists in India. 

Furthermore, he has established endoscopic surgery, robot surgery at RGCI. However, system head of breast cancer, thoracic oncology, and bone & soft tissue oncology. He is also the former director at BLK cancer cells center.

Area of Interest

The doctor is an expert in Breast cancer, oncoplastic surgery, and Upper G.I.Oncosurgery. Pancreatic Biliary surgical treatment, Thoracicsurgery including Esophagus cancer, Lung cancers, Mediastinal tumors, Upper body wall Tumors, Barrels and Robotic Surgical procedure for Esophagus cancers cells. The doctor is well highly trained and skilled in treating emergency cases. Besides, the doctor has a holistic approach towards patients. He is also fluent in languages such as English and Hindi. Hence, the patients can convey their signs and symptoms more comfortably. 

Achievements and Recognition: The doctor has been awarded the Bronze Medal in Physiology. In addition to this, Dr. Kapil Kumar received Dhanvantari Award from Cholay Foundation for his excellent work in Onco-surgery. Besides, he is a member of the Ethics committee of Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Hospital Board RGCI. Furthermore, he is a faculty member of Kirti Nagar for Conducting courses.
