Dr. Maheboob Mahamud is the Head of Department of Medical Oncology in Saifee Hospital, Bhatia Hospital, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre and Jaslok Hospital. He has over 28 years of experience in his field. Dr. Maheboob M Basade is a member of Indian Society of Medical and Paediatric Oncology.

He has established the best Cell transplantation department in Jaslok hospital and is considered as one of the top oncologists in Mumbai. Dr. Maheboob M Basade's current areas of interest are chemotherapy, immunotherapy in haematological and non-haematological malignancies. His educational qualifications include DNB in Medical Oncology. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Pharmacogenomics in ovarian cancer
