Dr. Pradeep Chowbey

Dr Pradeep Chowbey pioneered Laparoscopic and Bariatric (Obesity) Surgeries in India. In consecutive editions of the LIMCA Book of Records from 2000 - 2011, Dr. Chowbey has maintained a record of performing the largest series of Laparoscopic Biliary and Bariatric Surgeries. The rate of mortality and morbidity related to surgeries, in his vast career graph is near zero. The competency of Dr. Chowbey has earned him several recognitions including Arya award 77, best performer in MNAMS degree 79, "Young Investigator of India 95" by IMA etc. and fellowships of FAIS, FICS and FACS. He established the Department of Minimal Access Surgery at Sir Ganga Ram hospital to explore the new scopes of laparoscopic surgery into all parts of the body. This team of trained surgeons headed by Dr. Chowbey is often visited by practitioners throughout the globe for witnessing Endosurgery at its best. Going few extra miles, for future assistance Dr. Chowbey has addressed many national and international conferences. He also authored various journals on Laparoscopic Surgery. Currently Dr. Chowbey is the Executive Vice Chairman and the Chairman of Surgery at Max Healthcare, New Delhi.
