As I can understand from your question, your child is 2.7 years old and his/her HB is 6. Well, the required range of HB in a 2-year-old should be 11-12gm/dl. Does your child have symptoms of anemia like tiredness and weakness, pale skin, especially around the hands, nails, and eyelids, rapid heartbeat or a heart murmur, irritability, low appetite, dizziness or feeling lightheaded? If yes, the child would need a blood transfusion at least once and then followed by maintenance therapy. Please visit your pediatrician at the earliest.
Toddlers at this age are prone to various infections as most of the time in the day, they are exposed to germs and bacteria more than adults. So 6-8 bouts of cold/flu and/or ear infections in a year are normal. Hope you breastfeed your child for complete first 6 months of life. Lack of breastfeeding....
