What Happens in the 19th Week of Pregnancy?
At 19 weeks pregnant, your little one will feel more at ease as it continues to mature its developments. However, you are likely to feel symptoms that are quite troubling.Mom-to-be
The biggest bothersome symptom that you will experience in the 19th week of pregnancy is the cramping of your legs. You can blame the pregnancy hormones and exertion by your body for that. Your pelvic joints will also pain this week as your body is spending loads of energy in hosting a home for your baby. Fret not if you feel hotter than everybody else in the room. At 19 weeks pregnant, you may sweat more because of overheating caused by hormones. What will also appear this week is your mask of pregnancy. Your skin may be covered in dark patches and spots, particularly on your nose, cheeks, and forehead. You need not worry about these patches as it is a result of a common pregnancy condition called chloasma. This week is also a part of your babymoon period so your energy levels will be hyped. But so will your bouts of exhaustion. You will also feel your baby make movements inside. Nonetheless, if the placenta is facing the bump, you may be delayed in feeling these movements. Your baby has grown as big as a mango. If you think it is still as small, then picture the tiny grain of salt from where it started. That's right! It is a great development by the 19th week of pregnancy. Remember we told you that your baby has formed a thin skin. This skin is now covered by a coating. This coating protects the baby's skin from being wrinkled during childbirth. Realise how delicate your baby is? The coating is a greasy, cheese-like, white-coloured substance that is known as vernix caseosa. Your little baby's little lungs are also developing at 19 weeks pregnant. Besides the lungs, the kidneys have started producing urine. The sensory parts of your brainy child are also forming. And your beautiful mango sized baby's head is also showing tips of its hair. The external genitalia of your baby is well in a form in the 19th week of pregnancy. If your child is a girl, its vagina, uterus, and fallopian tubes would all be in place. Even, the baby girl would have more than 6 million primitive egg cells in the ovaries. If the baby is a boy, the testicles would be formed with the secretion of testosterone.Symptoms in the 19th Week of Pregnancy
